The Safe Haven Foundation of Canada

Both Paul and Bernie have dedicated two decades to serving on the Board of Safe Haven and actively supporting its mission. In 2019, Bernie took the helm as co-chair for the California Wine Festival in Calgary, rallying immense support for Safe Haven. The event garnered overwhelming participation, selling out tickets and generating over $60,000 in funds for the organization's cause. For the last three years, the Taurus team has been steadfast in their commitment to Safe Haven. Through collaborative efforts, Taurus has organized a holiday gifting programs and led restoration initiatives for Haven's Way and Haven's Harbour.

NAIOP Calgary

Bernie has volunteered his time with this industry association for the past three years.
He currently sits on the Board of Directors and is a member of the Government Affairs Committee.

Real Estate Sector Advisory Committee

Bernie is an active participant with the Real Estate Sector Advisory Committee (RESAC). RESAC is an industry led committee that provides a direct line of communication between the Calgary commercial real estate sector and the City of Calgary administration. In this role, Bernie provides input and advice on issues and initiatives that affect our clients. One of the key initiatives RESAC is pursuing is to improve the safety and vibrancy of the downtown core.

Salvation Army Kettle Campaign

Taurus is a multi-year supporter of the kick-off lunch to support the Salvation Army kettle campaign.
Kettle donations stay local and go towards Salvation Army’s year-round programs and services to help people living in poverty.

BMO Mentorship Program

Bernie is a mentor with the BMO Mentorship Program at the Haskayne School of Business. In this role, he works with BComm and MBA students to help them build on the strengths they have an identify opportunities for growth. Paul also works with the University of Calgary as a volunteer for the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship.

They provide essential services like collecting family necessities, offering in-home support, and preparing frozen meals.
Taurus has contributed by donating our time to prepare healthy meals for this organization.

cSPACE Projects

cSPACE is a social enterprise that supports artists, non profits and entrepreneurs. Taurus Property Group continues to collaborate with this organization under the SPACEPILOT project - re-purposing vacant commercial properties for arts and culture groups.
